White Faced Ducks Dendrocygna viduata are highly social with flocks often numbering in the hundreds. They are found in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, northern Namibia, eastern Botswana and the eastern parts of South Africa, where they frequent a variety of wetland habitats, including dams, lakes, rivers, estuaries, sewage works, swamps, marshes and floodplains. They are also occasionally found in small bodies of open water.
