The Namib is a coastal desert in Southern Africa. The name Namib is of Khoekhoegowab origin and means “vast place”. Sossusvlei is a salt and clay pan surrounded by high red dunes in the Namib-Naukluft National Park, one of the major visitor attractions of Namibia.
