Poachers beware! Spies in the sky protect rhinos


The drone or UAV (unmanned aerial vehicle) is being demilitarised and finding employment elsewhere. One such place is Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya where 50 rhinos were lost to poachers in 2013 alone. Wildlife experts from the Kenya Wildlife Service and Ol Pejeta have teamed up with drone makers Airware to pioneer multi-role UAVs in support of wildlife conservation.
